Ashlyn's first Avocado Festival!

Our weekend down in Carpinteria for the Avocado Festival started out with Taco Grande on Friday night.

Ashlyn is (obviously) all about burritos.
She dove into Tim's burrito more than last time.  We actually had to take some tortilla and carne asada out of her hand (we let her eat the guac).

Saturday morning was sunny and very warm.  If the Miller's had been able to come, we were planning on having smore's in my Dad's firepit, so there were chairs outside around it.  Ashlyn was so proud of herself for sitting in her very own chair.
And it was a good day for dogs too!  We had waffles (with strawberries) for breakfast, so they got to catch bits of waffle as a snack!
Mid-morning we headed down to the Avocado Festival.  Ashlyn's Papa got some of the cheerleader guacamole, so Ashlyn got her first taste of Avo Fest guac! She ate mostly guac for lunch!
She even got to "taste" Sno Cone!  I just gave her bits of ice off the top that the color aka sugar juice had sunk out of.  She liked the straw though.
And she put her face in the Avocado.  Our cute little avocado baby!
We came home for a nap and some swimming time in the pool, followed by some Habit for dinner and McConnell's frozen yogurt.  Yum!
Sunday morning started with a happy baby!

And a trip to REI!!!  Their sale was going on, and I need a new, warmer sleeping bag.  Ashlyn tried some out for me (I tried some too, but she's just cuter).
Dad got a new sleeping bag too.  Ashlyn had fun playing with Gigi on it.
And then we swam in the pool again!  She thought her floatie was okay, and liked to float around with her Daddy, but what she really liked was to be held and splash.
When she got tired, she wanted me to suck her thumb too.  One for me, one for Mommy.
And she loves her Daddy too!  (and isn't her swimsuit just the cutest?!?!)
