The Paulsen's at Oceanside

And less than a week after we got home from Tahoe, we went off to Oceanside with alllllllll of Tim's family!!!  (Which means that between Tahoe and Oceanside, I pretty much did laundry and packed).

Thursday evening saw us driving down to Andrew and Charlotte's (with a stop at Taco Grande in there).  Ashlyn slept all the way from Carp to Menifee, and then continued to sleep in her carseat until morning.  Yea! I'm pretty sure Elijah and Nathan woke up before she did...

That afternoon we all caravaned down to Oceanside.  We had heard Nathan loved the Kung Fu Panda song, so we made a window message to Andrew and Charlotte to tune to the radio station we were on and we played the song from Tim's iPod.  It was SOOOO fun to watch a little silhouette in the back of the car punching it's arms around and dancing!  (We found out later that that was Elijah, and Nathan missed it all because he was sleeping)!

We met Daniel, Maria, James, and Bekah at the hotel, and after settling in we headed out to dinner.

When we got back we had some Happy Birthday Charlotte cheesecake! 

The next day was hang out day.  Tim and I went to the workout room and did a WOD while Ashlyn hung out with Mimi and the kids.

After afternoon nap time, we headed down to the beach where Pappy could use his BabyQ to BBQ the tritip.

Sunday was Sea World day!  We got up, ate, and drove down to Sea World.

Monday morning came and it was time for us to leave (of course after sitting through one of those terrible sales-pitch "buy our timeshare" thing...thank you $100 gift card that is going to buy us a second barbell).  The kids all hung out with Mimi and Pappy while all the parents packed.

Now, just how cute is Bekah?!?!

One of the things I most enjoyed on this vacation was seeing how Ashlyn's cousins like playing with her.  It is going to be so much fun once she can sit up, be mobile, and even more! 

We left just as the sun was coming out.  Ha.
